How to Add, View, Modify and Delete Operator Competencies

Manage your operator competencies using the Operators Module. Learn to Add, Edit, Delete & Update operator competencies

Updated over a week ago

Before You Begin

  • An operator must first be added into the Operators Module before competencies can be managed.

  • This workflow is designed for people managing multiple operators.

  • You need to have the Operators Module enabled in permissions to use this feature.

  • If you only want to manage your own competencies, go to:

    • Account Settings > My Profile any competencies added will be displayed under Key Documents. To add a new competency click “Add New”

    • The process for viewing, modifying, and deleting competencies is the same as described below.

Viewing Operators

  1. Select the Operators module on the left-hand side panel.

  2. Click the 3-dots menu on the right-hand side of the operator you want to view.

  3. Select View Operator from the dropdown menu to open their profile page.

  4. The Competencies Table (second from the top) lists all competencies added for that operator.

Adding New Operator Competencies

  1. In the Competencies Table, click the Add New button at the top right.

  2. A list of competencies will appear. Select the ones you wish to add.

  3. Enter all relevant information and upload supporting documentation where required.

    • Fields with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.

  4. Once completed, click Submit.

  5. Review the information and click Confirm to save.

  6. The competencies will now be added to the Operator Profile.

Viewing, Modifying, and Deleting Existing Competencies

  1. In the Competencies Table, locate the competency you want to manage.

  2. Click the 3-dots icon on the right-hand side.

  3. From the dropdown menu, choose one of the following:

    • View Files – see uploaded documents.

    • View Key Document History – check version history.

    • Manage Competency – edit or update details.

    • Delete Competency – permanently remove the competency.

Tip: Whether managing your own competencies (via My Profile) or multiple operators (via the Operators Module), the steps for viewing, modifying, or deleting are the same.

Note about updating competencies when connected to a hiring client

If your operator is connected to a hiring client (i.e. they perform works on that client’s network), then updating a competency will require review by the hiring client’s team. Even though you submit the change, the competency will remain marked in red until the hiring client completes the review.

In the Competencies Table, there is a column called “Awaiting Review” — for competencies in this state, it will show Yes.
