Fitness Levels for Tours
Updating the required fitness levels for your tours helps potential guests choose experiences that match their physical abilities, ensuring safety and enjoyment. Clear fitness level expectations also prevent misunderstandings and help you attract the right audience for each tour.
Fitness Level Options
Fitness levels are subjective, as what one person considers 'moderate' activity might feel 'strenuous' to someone else. For this reason, it's important that you complete the Fitness information for your tour and provide as much information as possible, through your tour Description, Photos and Videos etc to help customers assess their own capabilities.
Here’s how we recommend you approach each fitness level option for your tour:
Do Not Specify: Choose this option if your tour does not have specific fitness requirements or if the level of physical activity varies greatly, allowing a wide range of participants to enjoy the experience.
Basic: This is ideal for tours that require minimal physical activity, such as walking short distances on flat terrain. Perfect for customers of all ages and abilities, such as a city walking tour or cultural sightseeing.
Moderate: Select this option for tours that involve a fair amount of physical activity but are still accessible to most people with average fitness levels. This might include activities like hiking, cycling, or moderate outdoor exploration, where participants need to be comfortable moving for longer periods but don’t require advanced fitness.
High: For tours that involve strenuous activity and require participants to be in good physical condition. Examples might include multi-day hikes, challenging treks, or activities like mountain climbing where endurance and strength are essential.

Understanding Tour Format
Clear tour formats allow customers to choose the experience that best matches their preferences, ensuring they are fully prepared for what to expect - whether it's a group setting, a personalised journey, or a self-guided adventure.
What Tour Format Options can I choose from?
Here's a breakdown of the tour formats you can choose from:
Chauffeured Tour: Guests enjoy the convenience of being driven around by a professional chauffeur, often in a luxury vehicle, while focusing on the sights and relaxing without the hassle of navigating or driving.
Large Group Tour: A tour designed for a significant number of participants, typically with a structured itinerary. This format is ideal for people looking for a social experience and guided exploration of popular destinations.
On-site Experience: Tours that take place at a specific location, such as a museum, wildlife park, or historical site. Guests explore the designated area with expert guides or interpretive materials focused on that particular venue.
Private Tour: An exclusive tour for individuals or a small group, offering a highly personalised experience with flexible scheduling and tailored itineraries based on the preferences of the guests.
Self-drive Tour: Guests drive themselves along a planned route, giving them the freedom to explore destinations at their own pace while following a pre-arranged itinerary or suggested stops.
Small Group Tour: A more intimate experience, typically with fewer than 10-15 participants, which allows for greater personal interaction with the guide and more flexibility in the schedule.
Independent / Self-guided Tour: Ideal for travellers who prefer exploring on their own, this format provides a set route, maps, and sometimes audio guides, allowing guests to enjoy the journey at their own pace without a tour guide.
