When to remove Hire Types from my Profile

You should consider deleting Hire Types from your profile when:

The Service is No Longer Offered: If you no longer provide a particular hire type or service, it’s important to remove it from your profile to avoid confusion and prevent customers from trying to book something that isn’t available.

Seasonal or Temporary Services: If a hire type or service is only available during certain seasons or for a limited time, remove it from your profile when it’s not available. You can always add it back when it becomes available again.

Changes in Business Focus: If your business shifts focus and certain hire types or services are no longer aligned with your offerings or brand, removing them helps keep your profile relevant and accurate.

Outdated or Replaced Services: When a hire type or service has been updated or replaced with a new option, remove the outdated service to ensure your profile reflects only current offerings.

Operational Challenges: If there are operational challenges that temporarily prevent you from offering certain hire types or services (e.g., equipment maintenance or staff shortages), consider removing those options until the issues are resolved.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many Hire Types can I have?

Choose as many hire types as you need. There is no set limit, so choose all that apply to your business. Doing so helps potential customers understand all the options you provide and makes it easier for them to find exactly what they’re looking for.

Here are some examples of businesses who would benefit from adding multiple hire types:

- A business that offers both bicycles and kayaks for hire. Customers can choose between exploring the coastal trails on two wheels or paddling along the shorelines, making it essential to add both hire types to their profile.

- A company that provides campervans and four-wheel drives for hire. Whether customers are planning a comfortable road trip with overnight stays or an off-road adventure, the business needs to list both hire types to cater to different travel needs.
