When your event takes place at different venues or on different dates - you may need to create more than one Event Profile. Examples of events that benefit from creating more than one profile are outlined below.
Major Events
If your event has multiple venues or dates but shares a common theme or overarching identity, we suggest creating an umbrella profile for your major event - providing a central hub for attendees to learn about the event as a whole - and then individual event profiles for the sub events within the program.
For example:
The Adelaide Fringe Festival would have one umbrella profile for the Festival and then separate event profiles for each event in its program.
Touring Events
Such as a concert or theatre production that visits multiple cities on different dates.
For example:
Cirque du Soleil
A Day on the Green
Music Festivals
For festivals that take place over multiple weekends at various locations.
For example:
Groovin' the Moo
Falls Festival
Sporting Tournaments
For events that travel between cities over a season.
For example:
Test Cricket tours
AFL or NRL season
Big Bash League
Exhibitions
If your exhibition travels to different cities on different dates.
For example:
Van Gogh Alive
Film Screenings or Theatre Productions
For productions shown across multiple theatres on different dates.
For example:
Melbourne International Film Festival
Sydney Theatre Company's Touring Productions
Workshops or Classes
If you're running a series of workshops or classes, each happening on separate dates or at different venues
For example:
Australian Writers' Centre Workshops
Seasonal Markets or Festivals
If your event occurs at various venues across different weekends or times of the year
For example:
The Finders Keepers Market
How to Quickly & Easily create Multiple Event Profiles
In instances where the majority of information remains the same, the most efficient way to create subsequent event profiles might be to clone an existing profile (See: How to clone a profile).
