Geospatial Search

Help your customers discover tourism experiences within a particular location with our powerful Geospatial search.

Updated this week

What is geospatial searching, and how can I use it?

Geospatial searching allows you to search for tourism products using specific geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) and a defined radius. This feature is perfect for finding relevant profiles within a specific area, making it easier to provide location-based services or recommendations to your customers.

For example:

Your customer is looking for accommodation close to their favourite landmark or destination. Here’s how they might use geospatial search on your site:

  1. Select ‘Accommodation’ from the main category drop-down.

  2. Click on the map icon or select ‘Search by Location’.

  3. Type in a specific address or landmark (for example, ‘Surfers Paradise Beach’) or simply move the map to the area of interest.

  4. Set a distance range (for example, ‘Within 5 km’ or ‘Within walking distance’).

  5. Optionally, apply additional filters such as ‘Pet-Friendly’, ‘Parking’, or ‘WiFi’.

  6. View the results: Your site will display all accommodations located within your chosen distance from the selected landmark or point on the map.
