Disabling Profiles & the Disabled Queue

How profiles are automatically or manually disabled, what it means, and how administrators can manage them via the Disabled Queue.

Updated over a week ago

This article explains how profiles can be automatically or manually disabled, what a disabled profile means, and how administrators can manage them via the Disabled Queue.

Key Points for Administrators

  • Monitor inactivity reminder emails and take action early to prevent profiles from being disabled automatically.

  • Use the Disabled Queue regularly to keep track of profiles needing attention.

  • Communicate with team members when a profile is disabled to avoid duplication of effort.

  • Be selective when deleting items from the Disabled Queue to preserve important records.

What is a Disabled Profile?

A disabled profile is one that has been temporarily deactivated and removed from public view. Disabled profiles remain in the system and can be reactivated at any time by updating the required fields and submitting the profile for review. Once approved, it will become publicly visible again.

There are two main reasons profiles may be disabled:

Automatic Disablement – Triggered by system inactivity rules (typically after four weeks of no updates on a draft profile). (See: Automatic System Disable below for details)

Manual Disablement – An administrator or profile owner may choose to disable a profile when the business is temporarily closed, undergoing major updates, or wishes to pause its visibility.

Automatic System Disable

To maintain accurate and relevant content across our platform, profiles that remain inactive for too long are automatically disabled by the system.

If a profile is created but not submitted for review, or remains untouched for two weeks, the system sends an inactivity reminder email to the profile’s contacts.

If no action is taken and the profile remains inactive for a total of four weeks, the system will automatically disable it and send a final notification email to advise of the status change.

To prevent automatic disablement, the profile owner must log in and update or submit the profile within the given timeframes. Doing so will keep the profile active and visible on the platform.

The Disabled Queue

The Disabled Queue is a central location where all automatically or manually disabled profiles are listed. It allows administrators to easily locate, review, and manage these profiles.

Where to find the Disabled Queue

Administrators can access the Disabled Queue by following these steps:

  1. Log In: Log in to ATDW

  2. Admin: In the main menu, select 'ADMIN'.

  3. Pending Disablement: In the sub menu, select Pending Disablement (shown below). This will display all profiles currently in the Disabled Queue.

Managing the Disabled Queue

When a profile is disabled, every user associated with it receives an email notification. This can sometimes lead to confusion when multiple users manage the same profile, so it’s good practice to keep your team informed.

You can delete items from the Disabled Queue; however, avoid mass deletion unless you are certain they are no longer needed. Reviewing each profile before removal helps maintain clarity and prevents accidental loss of data.
