Administrators can use the Awards section to record any tourism awards won by the profile owner in the last 2 years.
Why add Awards to a profile?
Adding awards to a profile helps showcase recent achievements and build trust with potential visitors. Awards can influence traveller decisions by:
Proving quality – Awards confirm that the business or destination meets high industry standards, helping travellers book with confidence.
Providing trusted recognition – Independent awards offer third‑party endorsement and credibility.
Highlighting innovation – Recognition for new ideas, products, or services sets businesses and destinations apart.
Boosting reputation – Awards can increase visibility across profiles, guides, and marketing channels.
Reassuring travellers – Recent awards show resilience and adaptability, particularly during changing market conditions.
Where to access Awards
The Awards information is accessible only to Admin users.
Awards for any profile can be accessed in the sub menu when viewing the profile under Admin (shown below).
From here you can:
View existing awards on the profile.
Add a new award with the year and award name.
Edit or remove an existing award entry.
How to add an Award
Verify the Award: Verify the year against the official award announcement.
Awards: Navigate to the Awards section of the sub menu (See: Where to Access Awards)
Nominate Year: Use the down arrow to select the Year the award was received. You will only be able to add Awards from the last two years. If you need additional space, click on the 'Add Another Award'
Enter Award Name: Unsure of the official title? Refer to the awarding body’s announcement. Consistency is important, so please use the following format: “Award Program – Category”.
For example:
Australian Tourism Awards – Best Tourist Attraction
Queensland Tourism Awards – Major Tourist Attraction
Australian Tourism Awards – Excellence in Accessible Tourism
How to remove an Award
Awards: Navigate to the Awards section of the sub menu (See: Where to Access Awards)
Delete the Award: Find the Award you would like to delete and click the corresponding cross icon (shown below)

Our approach is designed to safeguard accuracy and uphold industry reputation. Direct uploads by businesses could introduce errors, inconsistencies, or misrepresentation. Our centralised process ensures each award reflects authentic milestones, protecting both the business and the Awarding body.
