Some Corrections Officer duties involve driving a vehicle. We therefore ask that our Corrections Officers have a full NZ Drivers Licence by the time they graduate from training.
To meet this criteria, applicants must:
hold at least a Restricted Licence when they apply
be able to obtain their Full New Zealand Drivers Licence by the time they graduate from Corrections Officer training (lasting 10 weeks from your start date). This includes the conversion of any international licences.
