If you’ve applied for a Corrections Officer role from overseas, keep in mind that you will need to be in New Zealand for some of the later stages of the recruitment process. We will let you know when you have reached this stage – please do not book any travel until we have invited you to an in-person session.

When you have been invited to travel to New Zealand, you will need to get in touch with Immigration New Zealand to make visa arrangements for this time. All costs associated with travelling to New Zealand to undertake recruitment selection processes will be at your own expense.

If you successfully make it through the recruitment process and are offered employment as a Corrections Officer, we can support you with your application to obtain a longer-term visa as we are an accredited employer. Please note that you will also need to meet any Immigration New Zealand requirements and pay any associated costs.
