ClassCover Learn’s online professional development (PD) courses are designed to align with the AITSL's Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST), making them relevant for educators in all Australian states and territories.
Whether you're in New South Wales, Victoria, the ACT, or elsewhere in Australia, here's how ClassCover Learn supports your accreditation requirements:
State-by-State Accreditation Overview
New South Wales (NSW) – NESA Accreditation
ClassCover Learn offers courses that are NESA-accredited, contributing to your required PD hours.
Upon course completion, your participation is logged with NESA via eTAMS.
Recent changes in August 2024 have simplified PD requirements, allowing all professional development activities, including those previously unaccredited, to count towards the required 100 hours of PD.
Victoria – VIT Accreditation
While ClassCover Learn courses are not pre-accredited by the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT), you can still use them to meet your ongoing PD requirements.
VIT encourages teachers to complete PD aligned to the APST, which ClassCover Learn courses are designed around.
Australian Capital Territory (ACT) – TQI Accreditation
Important update: Our TQI accreditation expired in 2025.
If you completed TQI-accredited courses during 2025: Great news! We can still have these courses accredited and reported to the Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) on your behalf. Your completed courses from 2025 will still count towards your annual PD requirements.
If you’re completing courses now (2026 onwards): ClassCover Learn courses are no longer TQI-accredited and won’t be automatically reported to TQI. However, our courses still provide valuable professional development that you can use to support your teaching practice.
Other States and Territories
For educators in other regions, ClassCover Learn courses:
Align with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST)
Are suitable for most self-logged PD requirements
Can be recorded manually through your local teacher registration authority
We recommend checking with your state’s teacher registration board for specific criteria.
Logging Your PD Hours
NSW + ACT Teachers:
Your ClassCover Learn hours are automatically reported (for accredited courses).
Allow up to 30 days for hours to appear in eTAMS.
VIC + Other States:
Download your certificates after each course
Log your PD manually through your relevant state portal
Match activities to APST standards when required
