Setting Up Your School Profile on ClassCover

Your School Profile on ClassCover is often the first thing relief teachers see. A clear, up-to-date profile helps people understand your school and decide whether they are a good fit before they request to join your list or accept an invitation to join..

A clear and engaging profile helps you attract more relief teachers, onboard staff efficiently, and build trust with potential relief teachers who are browsing for schools to work with.


What relief teachers can see on your school profile before joining your list

Relief teachers will comes across your school profile when browsing through Find New Schools, job post your school has posted on ClassCover Jobs, or through an invitation from your school.

When they come across your profile they can see:

  • Your school logo or crest

  • A link to your school website

  • A short overview of your school

  • Key details such as student enrolment size, staff size and sector

  • Whether the school is co-educational or single-sex

  • Your school location on a map

This helps casuals decide whether to apply for a role or request to join your list

Coming in Term 1 2026: Soon school profiles will be able to embed videos to showcase to relief teachers. This can be used as a welcome message from the school principal or a general overview about your school.


What your existing relief teachers see

Once a relief teacher is on your school list, they’ll still see all the info above. plus a few extras that help with onboarding and communication:

  • Announcements: Share updates, announcements or reminders directly on your profile

  • Onboarding documents: Add links to existing induction or onboarding documents so new staff can understand your school’s processes before their first day.

  • Extra notes: Add in any helpful info to make things easier for your casuals

  • Emergency contact: The Relief Teacher Administrator (RTA) of your schools contact details

It’s all about keeping your staff in the loop and making onboarding smoother.


How to complete your school profile

Updating your profile is simple and doesn’t take long. Here’s how:

  1. Go to Your School Profile

    Click your School Name at the top of the page, then select ‘School Profile’.

  2. Edit Profile Information

    To edit information in different fields within your profile, look for the pencil icon. This will allow you to make changes to specific sections.

  3. Save Changes

    Don’t forget to click ‘Save’ after making any edits to ensure your changes are updated in the profile.

  4. View Your Profile as a teacher

    Use the ‘View as Teacher’ option to check how your profile looks from a casual’s perspective.

Keep Your List in Shape with the List Health Checker

Alongside a strong profile, keeping your casual list active and up to date makes a big difference. Use the List Health Checker (found under My List in the Manage tab) to:

  • Spot inactive or unavailable relief teachers

  • Send nudges to those who haven’t updated availability

  • Hide or remove profiles that no longer suit your needs
