Enabling SMS Notifications for Booking Requests

Updated over 6 months ago

You can choose to receive ClassCover booking requests from schools via SMS – but for the fastest and most reliable experience, we recommend using push notifications instead. SMS and email notifications are available as an alternative if you prefer text messages, emails or if push notifications aren’t convenient for you.

Why Push Notifications Are Preferred

Push notifications alert you instantly and let you accept bookings directly from your phone – no need to wait for an SMS or email. They’re faster, more responsive, and reduce the risk of missing opportunities.

Push vs SMS vs Email Notifications

Notification Type

Benefit

Push

Instant alerts that let you accept bookings straight from your phone.

SMS

Simple to receive, even without mobile data.

Email

Easy to keep track of bookings for your records.

How to Turn On SMS Booking Notifications

If you prefer to receive booking requests by SMS, follow these steps:

  1. Open the ClassCover app

  2. Tap the menu icon (top right), then select Account & Settings

  3. Tap Booking Notifications

  4. Select SMS

  5. Toggle SMS Priority to ON

  6. Your preference will be saved automatically

You’ll now receive booking requests as SMS messages. You can switch back to push notifications at any time via the same settings menu.
