However, you can't send MMS messages.

You must have a Chinese business license to send to China.
Pre-registration of sender ID and message content is mandatory.
Alpha tag
Recipients cannot reply to messages sent using an alpha tag.
To register an alpha tag, please contact support.
Alpha tag registration usually takes 20 business days
Alpha tags are replaced with an approved long code once registered. The alpha tag will be prefixed to the start of the message body.
Example: A message from alpha tag CSend with the content Hello China will be delivered from a local approved long code as:【CSend】Hello China
Registration requirements
When registering an alpha tag, you will need to provide:
Sender ID and message content
Company name
Company website (URL)
Nature of business
Service description
Estimated monthly message volume
Sample message content here.
Copy of the Business registration document (mandatory)
Authorized representative's ID card or passport
Letter of Authorization (LOA) – must be completed on official company letterhead and signed by the authorized representative
Short codes
Two-way messaging is supported in China with a short code.
To purchase a short code, please contact support.
Short code registration usually takes 4-5 weeks and costs do apply.
Registration requirements
When purchasing a short code, you will need to provide:
Completed Excel registration form
Signed contract/order form
Copy of your China Business Registration License
Trademark registration certificate
ID of the legal representative
Rules and best practices
All marketing traffic to China must have “拒收请回复R” at the end of the content (which basically means "To unsubscribe, please return R").
Allowed sending time for marketing programs:
0800hrs to 2200hrs (GMT8), Monday to Friday.
Message Length
Non-concatenated SMS: Up to 65 UCS2 characters or 130 ASCII characters
Concatenated SMS: Up to 62 UCS2 characters per message (ASCII not supported)
Arabic characters cannot be supported on any Chinese networks.

No financial services
No education messages
No property messages
No cosmetic surgery messages
No healthcare messages
No mention of Falun Gong or Tiananmen Square.
