Creating a Vacates Record

You can create a vacates record in two ways; either through the Renewals Tab, or via the Break Lease/Periodic Lease Form. In this article, we'll walk you through how to set up a Vacates Record correctly.

Creating a Vacate Record Through Renewals

To create a vacate record from an ongoing renewal, simply update the Outcome Field on your Renewals Record to 'Tenant Vacating'. Once this is done, a new Vacates Record will be created automatically.

Take a look at the GIF below to see how the process works.

Creating a Vacate Record Through the Break Lease/Periodic Lease Form

To create a vacate record for a break lease or periodic tenancy, simply navigate to your Vacates Tab and open the 'Break Lease/Periodic Lease Form' on the left hand side of your grid view. Then, once you're in your Form View, navigate to the top of your page and click on the 'Open Form' button.

From here you can fill out the necessary information, and upon submission, your vacates record will show up in your view.

Conclusion

Creating a Vacates Record can be done in a few simple steps, either through the Renewals Tab or via the Break Lease/Periodic Lease Form. Follow the steps outlined in this article and you'll be able to create a Vacates Record successfully in no time.
