Removing Applications from View in Airtable

Have you ever noticed duplicate records in your Airtable Applications view and wanted to make sure that you could clear them out? The answer lies in updating your status field both in Airtable and in your Applications software, which will do the trick and allow you to view only records that are relevant.

Steps to remove applications from view in Airtable

In order to remove an application from your view, first you will need to update the status in your Applications software to 'Archived', 'Withdrawn', 'Declined', or 'Leased'. This will ensure that the record does not appear in your Applications Tab in Airtable again.

Next, navigate back to Airtable and simply update the status to the appropriate outcome, i.e. 'Archived', 'Withdrawn', 'Declined', or 'Leased' here as well. To do this, open the record in Airtable and select the appropriate status:

The record will then disappear from your Applications Views.

Be mindful that your status field might have different options than what's pictured above, and in that case it would be best to check your filter for which statuses clear the record from your view. It should show something like below, which indicates that records with 'archived' as their status will not show in this view. Therefore, you would change the status to that option.

It is also best practice to leave a comment on the record to explain why you have changed the status.
