Get an Early Jump on Lease Renewals

Lease renewals don't always follow a predictable timeline; if you'd like to start the process for a renewal earlier than 120 days, there are a few steps you'll need to follow.

First, you'll need to input a rent review date into the property file on your CRM for the next 120 days. We recommend selecting a date that's a few weeks ahead of the current date.

If you're using an API (such as with Property Me) to retrieve data from your CRM, keep in mind that it it not likely that it will pick up a rent review date in the next 3 days. Therefore, always be sure to set a date a month ahead of when you want to start the renewal process for the best results (keeping in mind it should still be within the next 120 days - making the date 30 days from now is just fine).

Alternatively, if you're manually exporting your data into Airtable (such as with Property Tree, Console Cloud, etc), this is typically done only once a month. To ensure that your property is included in the export, set the rent review date for the upcoming month.

Once you have added in the rent review date, it would then be best to ask your offshore team to do a manual upload of the Renewals, rather than waiting until the next month to complete this.

By following these steps, you can enjoy an early jump on the lease renewal process.
