How to Use Airtable's Revision History

If you've ever noticed changes have been made to your record and you'd like to know who made those changes, or when those changes were made, you are in luck! Airtable allows you full visibility on all records by using their Revision History in the side panel on each record.

Step 1: Expand the record

To view this, first you need to expand your record. To do this, simply click on the record you want to view and it will expand.

On the right hand side, you will see a panel that has comments and revision history visible. This is where you will find all of the information about changes made to the record. You can see who has done what and when, and this cannot be edited or deleted.

Step 2: Filter to 'Revision History' only

If you would like to filter the side panel to just show the revision history, simply click the 'all activity' arrow at the top left of your side panel. This will bring up a drop-down menu where you can choose 'revision history' from the options. This will filter out any comments and show only the revision history for the record.

Conclusion

By using Airtable's Revision History, you can easily track any changes made to your records and have a clear understanding of who made the changes and when they were made. This is a helpful tool for collaboration and staying organized within your Airtable projects.
