In the landscape of real estate software, the security of your account is a critical aspect. We are committed to providing robust security features that not only protect your data but also streamline your access experience. This article will guide you through the upcoming mandatory enforcement of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). How to set up MFA via a QR code and the controls available for an administrator of your account will also be included.

Optional: Integrating Single Sign-On (SSO) via Microsoft Azure

To facilitate a smooth integration of SSO via Microsoft Azure, please initiate the process by sending an email to thehub@stafflink.com.au. Include your IT Manager in this email, enabling us to collaborate with your IT team and provide specific guidance for setting up SSO effectively and securely.

Upcoming Mandatory Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

The Hub currently prompts you to set up MFA at each login, which you can choose to configure or skip. However, from February 27, 2024, activating MFA will be a compulsory step for enhanced account security.

Steps to Activate Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

  1. Access MFA Setup:

    • Log into your Hub account.

  2. MFA Setup Prompt:

    • If you haven't already set up MFA, you will be prompted to do so upon log in.

  3. Scanning the QR Code:

    • You'll be presented with a QR code on the screen.

    • Scan this QR code using an authenticator app on your mobile device such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.

  4. Complete the MFA Activation:

    • Enter the generated code from the authenticator app into The Hub.

    • Follow any remaining instructions to finalize the MFA setup.

MFA Management for Administrators

Administrators can reset MFA codes for users through the 'Member Management' section in the administration settings, providing an extra layer of oversight and control over user account security. To reset a User's MFA, navigate to the Administration panel in the left-hand menu bar of The Hub and select Member Management. Once selected, search for the user, select them by clicking the tick box before their name, and then click the reset MFA button.

Once an Administrator has reset a User's MFA, the User will be able to log into The Hub using their email and password and will then be required to set up MFA again on the first login.

SSO and MFA
Setting up SSO with Microsoft Azure exempts you from MFA setup within The Hub. However, it's crucial to activate MFA on the account used for SSO access, ensuring comprehensive security across your access points.

Conclusion

By integrating SSO and adhering to the upcoming mandatory MFA setup, your Hub account gains a fortified layer of security, pivotal in today's digital real estate environment. Should you need further assistance or have questions, our support team is always here to help.
