Each Subject can contain multiple Classes. Use Classes to organise different groups of students who are working through the same content. Classes are managed from the Students page.
Create a new Class
On the Students page, click Add class.
When a second Class is created, the original default Class is automatically renamed "Class A" and the new Class is named "Class B" (unless either has already been manually renamed).
Rename a Class
On the Students page, click the Class you want to rename
Click Rename Class
Type the new name and click Done
Archive a Class
Archiving a Class removes its students from your Markbook and hides the Class from students' home pages. The students' work is preserved.
Important: Student work is linked to the Sessions in your Subject. Editing or deleting Sessions after archiving a Class may affect how that work displays when the Class is unarchived. If you plan to make significant changes to Sessions, archive the whole Subject and duplicate it first. See Archive or unarchive a Subject and Duplicate a Subject.
Steps:
On the Students page, select the Class from the left column
Click Archive class
The Class moves to an Archived section below the active Class list.
Unarchive a Class
On the Students page, find the Archived section in the left column. Click the word "Archived" if no Classes are listed beneath it.
Click the Class you want to restore
Click Unarchive class
The Class moves back to the active Classes list. Students reappear in your Markbook and you can release and hide Sessions to that Class again.
Delete a Class
A Class can only be deleted if it has no students. Archive the Class or move students to another Class first if you need to preserve their work.
Steps:
Select the Class you want to delete from the left column
Click Delete class above the Class code
