How to let your customers know you're closed
Adding Single Day Closures or Multiple Day Closures to your profile keeps visitors informed and helps them plan their trip with confidence, ensuring they know exactly when your business is open and avoiding any surprises during their visit.
It's important to communicate these closures clearly so visitors can adjust their plans accordingly. These can be pre-scheduled, so you don't need to update your standard operating hours every time a public holiday approaches.
What is a Single Day Closure?
If your business is closed or operates different hours for a particular day, for example on ANZAC Day, you can use your profile to let potential customers know.

Select Your Profile: Find the relevant profile and click the corresponding ‘UPDATE’ button.
Opening Hours: In the sub menu that appears, click 'Opening Hours'.
Pubic Holidays and Closures: Navigate to the Public Holidays and Closures section. Select 'Single Day Closure'.
Date: Click in the field under 'On'. A calendar will appear. Select the applicable date. Move to later months by clicking the arrow at the top of the calendar.
Time: In the 'Open at' field, select your opening time using 24-hour time. Select the Hour and Minute of your opening time using the corresponding dropdown arrows. For example, if you open at 10:30am, you would select '10' in Hour and '30' in Minute. Your nominated opening time will appear. Check that it is correct, before selecting 'Done'.
If you are closed on the nominated day, select the 'My establishment is closed this day' - noting that wording may vary according to your profile type.
Repeat: If you want to add other single day closures, repeat Steps 6-7.
Submit for Review: Once complete, check your Profile Summary and then submit your profile for review. This step is crucial to ensure that your profile is reviewed, approved, and published, making your updated information visible to potential customers.
What is a Multi-Day Closure
If your business is closed or you operate on reduced hours for several consecutive days, you can use your profile to let potential customers know. This feature means you don't need to update your standard operating hours every time you amend your opening hours for a short period, for example over Christmas holiday period, extended maintenance, seasonal breaks, or special events.
