Logging in Using MFA

How to log in to the platform using Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) using a verification code provided by Google Authenticator or by email.

Updated this week

Once you've set up Multi Factor Authentication (MFA), logging in is easy. What's more, users are given the option to skip this step for 7 days if they are working on a private, secure device.

What type of Authentication should I use?

To ensure a smooth experience for every type of user, we’ve set up two authentication options based on how you access your account.

If you share a login with others, you’ll need to use Email Authentication to verify access for all users with that login. This ensures that all users connected to a shared account can still sign in securely using a single verification method.

If you have an individual login, you can choose between Google Authenticator where a verification code is generated on your phone (our recommended option for the highest level of protection) or Email Authentication.

How to Login in using MFA

The following steps assume you have already set up MFA for your account.

  1. Login: Head to the platform login page. Enter your username and password.

  2. Select Organisation: Choose your organisation from the list provided.

  3. Access your Code: If during MFA setup you nominated:

    • Google Authenticator verification: Open your Google Authenticator app to retrieve the verification code. Each code refreshes every 30 seconds, so if your code expires mid‑entry, wait for the next one to appear.

    • Verification by Email: Check your inbox for an email containing the code. If you cannot locate the email, please check your spam folder. If it's not there, select 'Resend Code' (shown below).

  4. Enter the Code: Using the space provided, enter the six-digit code (shown below). Select 'Don’t ask me again for 7 days' to reduce how often you’re prompted on trusted devices.

Skip MFA for Seven Days

If you're working on a secure device, click the 'Don't Ask Me Again For 7 Days' (shown below). This will mean that if you are using the same device and browser, you will not need to provide verification for one week.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why isn't my Google Authenticator Code working?

If a Google Authenticator code fails, ensure the time on your device is accurate and try the next fresh code; codes are time‑based and expire quickly by design for security.

What if I can’t access the Authenticator App?

If you cannot access the Authenticator App, or you have lost your phone, use the 'Choose another authentication method' option (shown below) and switch to email code. If you cannot access email either, please connect with us.

Do I need to use MFA every time I log in?

No, if you're using a trusted device you can select 'Don't ask me again for 7 days' to reduce this need.
