Shared numbers
Shared numbers are free, ready to use, and don’t need registration. Messages will be sent from our pool of local Sender IDs, so the number might be different each time.
Shared numbers are recommended for one-way messaging only.
Dedicated numbers
Send from a trusted, local number. Your messages will always come from a consistent Sender ID, which is perfect for establishing trust and recognition.
Purchase a dedicated number via our Dashboard by going to:
Log into your ClickSend Dashboard.
Navigate to the Sender IDs section: Under this, select 'Buy a Number.'
Provide Required Information: Enter your business name, contact details, and Australian address (in IPND format).
Submit Details for Verification: After submission, ClickSend validates the details and facilitates ACMA approval.

Registration requirements
To register a dedicated number, you will need to provide:
Your business name
Business address
Contact number and name of contact
Intended use case for your number
Alpha tags
Alpha tags allow you to use your brand name as your Sender ID instead of a number. Recipients cannot reply to messages sent using an alpha tag.

Yes, the number will have the +61 prefix, signifying it as an Australian number.
Can I use a non-Australian address to register my number?
No, you must provide a valid Australian business address, including street, suburb, state, and postcode. PO Boxes are not allowed.
Do I need to provide business details?
Yes, providing valid business details is mandatory. ClickSend verifies this information to ensure compliance with ACMA regulations.

Providing the right details to register a dedicated number
Each time you register a dedicated number you need to provide your business name, contact name, Australian business address, and phone number. This is required by ACMA. ClickSend will forward these details to ACMA for approval as part of the verification process.
