New Beta Feature: Text to Speech
The beta release of text to speech brings lesson content to life with natural-sounding audio, supporting students and teachers by:
Providing instant access for both students and teachers; no setup required.
Letting students listen to lessons in their preferred language.
Making it easy for students to follow along by ear while you teach.
How to Use Text to Speech in a Lesson
Step 1: Choose a lesson you want to teach.
Step 2: On the lesson page, click the section you want read out to you / your student.
Step 3: The text box will pop up where you can play it aloud by clicking 'Listen'.
Step 4: You will be able to pause, start again, and go back to the lesson.
How to Use Text to Speech in a Chosen Language
Note: Make sure 'Enable Translation for My Students' is on. You can find that here.
Step 1: Choose a lesson you want to teach.
Step 2: From anywhere in the lesson, click 'Translate'.
Step 3: Click the language you want the lesson displayed in. This will be applied throughout the lesson.
Step 4: Click the section you want read out to you / your student in the chosen language.
Step 5: The text box will pop up, click 'Listen', and you will hear it in the chosen language.
