Stile Sessions: Prepare, Teach, Analyse

Sessions, tests, and other activities in Stile are broken down into three modes to help you build and deliver them easily and effectively.

Updated this week

Every Session in Stile has three modes: Prepare, Teach, and Analyse. Toggle between them using the switch near the top right of the page. As you scroll down, the toggle shrinks into a sticky header so it stays accessible.

The three modes keep content creation tools separate from teaching and marking tools, so the view you present to students is clean and free from teacher-specific controls.

Prepare mode

Use Prepare mode before class. It is where you review and edit Session content and model answers, add teaching notes, set due dates, enable marks, and build Sessions from scratch.

Teach mode

Use Teach mode during class. Editing tools and Teacher tips are hidden. This mode is designed for presenting your screen and leading students through the activity, including via video conferencing.

In Teach mode you can see per-question progress bars showing how many students have attempted each question, show correct answers and student responses for class discussion, control collaborative widgets like polls and live brainstorms, use the Teleport button to redirect students to the correct page, and use the Pause button to freeze students' screens and redirect their attention.

Analyse mode

Use Analyse mode during or after class. It provides a per-question breakdown of student responses, a summary of which students have started and completed the Session, and (for assessments) a results distribution graph.
