Our approach to managing expiry timeframes has evolved to support the continued reliability and relevance of information across the tourism network. Each profile is assigned an expiry period based on its category, guiding regular updates and ensuring distributors, operators, and travellers access only current, actionable information.
Administrators are able to adjust profile Expiry, see: How to Update Profile Expiry for details.
Profile Expiry Periods
Content listed in the system automatically expires according to category-specific periods:
Expiry Period | Categories |
12 months | Accommodation, Attraction, Food & Drink, General Service, Hire, Information Service, Tour, Transport |
24 months | Attractions (National Parks & Reserves Classification), Destination Information, Journeys |
On End Date | Events |
Profile Renewal Reminders
Renewal is straightforward (see: How to renew a profile), and profile owners receive automated email reminders to renew prior to expiry. Each email highlights the current expiry or end date, details the impact of non-renewal—distribution to partners will cease—and includes direct links for editing or renewing the profile in our platform.
What happens after a Profile Expires?
When a profile reaches its expiry, its status changes and distribution to partner channels is paused until the profile is reviewed, updated, and reapproved.
