How Hub Admins Can Accept or Decline Bookings in the Hub & Spoke Program

As a Hub Admin in the NSW Department of Education’s Hub & Spoke Program, you play a key role in managing bookings across your group of schools. When a spoke school sends a request for a casual, you’ll receive a notification to review and approve it.

Here’s how to quickly accept or decline booking requests and keep the process running smoothly.


What to Expect

When a spoke school sends a pre-confirmed booking request, you’ll receive a notification prompting you to approve it.


How to Accept or Decline a Booking Request

You can approve or decline requests in two ways:

Option 1: From the Email

  1. Open the booking request email.

  2. Click the Complete the Booking button.

  3. You’ll be taken directly to the booking request page where you can Accept or Decline the booking request.

Option 2: From the ClassCover Dashboard

  1. Log in to your school’s ClassCover account on desktop.

  2. From the left-hand menu, click Hub & Spoke.

  3. View any pending booking requests from your spoke schools.

  4. Click Accept or Decline next to the relevant request.

Once accepted, the request is immediately sent to the selected casual(s). If declined, the booking won’t be processed and the spoke school will be notified.


What Happens After You Respond?

  • Accepted: The casual receives the booking and can confirm via app or email.

  • Declined: The booking will not proceed, and the spoke school will be notified so they can make other arrangements.


Good to Know

  • This process can currently only be completed via the desktop version of ClassCover.

  • Hub Admins can view all booking activity across their spoke schools under the Hub & Spoke tab.
