Selecting a Course to Manage
All existing courses within your organisation are listed on your Manage Home page. To access them, log in to your manager account on the FifthDomain platform. Youβll be directed to the Home page by default.
From the Home page, locate the Events table. This table displays all available courses in your organisation. To manage a course, find the course you wish to manage in the table, click the three dot menu [1] under the Actions column, and then select View [2] from the dropdown options.
Managing Course Details
Once you've entered into the course you wish to manage, you'll be able to view and update course details from the Details tab. The following fields will be available to be edited:

Course Introduction
Course Availability
Simply click Edit to make updates to any of these fields. Note that participants will only be able to access a course if it is made available to them in Course Availability.
Managing Course Lessons
From the Lessons tab, you'll be able to view all lessons that have been included in the course. Click View next to a lesson to view all the components of a lesson. This will open up an overview of the the lesson on the righthand side of the screen.
Viewing Lessons in a Course
As covered in the Attempting Courses article, each lesson is mapped to the FifthDomain Cynaptic Adaptor. When you view a lesson (while managing a course), you'll be able to see the lesson's mapped proficiency and specialty. You'll also be able to see the estimated time the lesson will take to complete.
Details Tab
On the Details tab, you'll be able to see the lesson description set by the creator of the lesson, as well as additional mapping details (i.e. the specific skills, techniques, and technologies a lesson has been mapped to).
Activities Tab
Lesson Exercise
On the Activities tab, you'll be able to see the lesson's Exercise (i.e. the main component of a lesson). As covered in the Attempting Courses article, course progress is based on the completion of lesson exercises. Each exercise in a lesson will be one of the following four types:
Lab
Markdown
PDF
Video
In addition to the exercise type, you'll also be able to see the Exercise Description.
Lesson Resources
If a lesson includes resources, you'll be able to see them in the Resources section. Resources may be PDFs, markdowns, or videos. PDFs and markdowns can be downloaded, and videos can be played by clicking on Open Video Player.
Lesson Quiz
Some lessons may also include quiz questions. If you're viewing a lesson with a quiz, you'll be able to see all quiz questions in the Quiz section.
Adding/Removing Lessons in a Course
To add or remove lessons in a course, click Edit. This will open up edit mode, where you can select or deselect lessons for inclusion into the course.
In edit mode, you'll be able to see all lessons that are available for usage in courses in your organisation. Use the checkboxes to add or remove lessons to the course.
Under the Lesson Selection table, you'll find the Lesson Order table, where you can use the arrows and/or drag buttons to set a specific order for lessons to appear in to participants in the course.
Remember to click Save to finalise any edits made (or Cancel to abandon edits).
Note that if you make edits to a course, participants will see the latest version of the course upon their next page refresh or login.
Managing Course Participants
On the Participants tab, you'll be able to view and manage all participants in your course (whether they were invited individually, or invited as part of a group).
You'll see two tables on this page, one listing all participants in the course, and the one below listing all groups that have been added to the course.
From the Participants table, you'll be able to see key details about each individual course participant, such as their email and course progress. Click Invite to add more participants to the course. To manage participants already in the course, click the three dots in the Actions column next to the participant you want to manage. From there, you'll be able to view them, chat with them, or remove them from the course.
From the Groups table, you'll be able to see all groups currently invited to the course. Click Invite to add more groups to the course, and click Remove to remove a group from the course.
Note: if you remove a participant from a course, then:
They will lose all access to the course.
Any skills data they had already generated from completed lessons will be retained in their skills profile.
If you add them back to the course later, their progress will be reset. However, only lessons not previously completed will generate new skills data for them.
Managing the Chat Inbox
The Chat Inbox gives you a list of all participants in the course who have sent you/other course mentors a message, and are waiting on a response.
Click View next to a participant in your Chat Inbox to open up their chat on the righthand side of the page.
Scroll to see all existing messages between you, other managers, and the participant whose chat you have opened. Type and send new messages using the input box. You can upload up to 3 images (PNG, JPG, or JPEG) at a time in each message. Each image can be up to 5MB, with a total limit of 15MB for all 3 images.
You can edit messages by clicking on the pen icon. You can also delete messages using the bin icon.
Once a reply has been sent, the participant will disappear from your Chat Inbox. You'll still be able to chat with them via the Participants tab.

π Course insight metrics and visualisations are currently under redesign.
Legacy insights functionality will not be supported during the redesign and redevelopment phase. As such, the Insights tab has been hidden.
