📖 Note: This user guide contains information on how admins/managers can duplicate a course.

Finding the Duplicate Action

On the "Manage" mode homepage, in the Events table, click on the Courses[1] tab to get access to all courses created on the platform.

To duplicate a course, click on the row action[2] icon of the course, and click Duplicate[3].

📖 Note: You can duplicate a course of any status: Available, Not Available, and Draft.

Inputting Duplicate Course Details

Once the Duplication Action has been clicked, a Duplicate Course flow will open, where you can make inputs to the duplicate course.

📖 Note: In duplicate courses, most inputs from the original course will be carried over for you to either leave as the same, or make edits to.

Inputs from the original will be duplicated as per the original at the time of its duplication. Note that any changes made to the original will not reflect in the duplicate after it has been created. Changes made to a created duplicate course will also not carry over to the original in any way.

In the Add Course Details section, you can edit the duplicate’s Name [2] and Description [3] as required. Note that the description can be viewed by course takers.

Viewing and Editing Modules

After you are satisfied with your duplicate course’s details, you will be able to view and edit the course’s modules and parts. Use the accordion icons [1] to expand each module as required, giving you view of the parts within.

You can delete [2] modules as required, and add modules [3].

Within each module part, you can change part types from the part type dropdown [1], update part inputs as per the part type [2], reorder parts using the drag icon [3], delete parts [4], and add new parts [5].

Publishing a Duplicate Course

Once you are happy, you can click Publish [1] to complete the course creation process. Or click Save Draft [2] to save the course as a draft to come back to later.

📖 Note: You cannot duplicate the list of invited users and groups from another course. Hence, there is no step for adding users and groups in the creation of a duplicate course.

Once the duplicate is created, you will be able to View and Manage it as a regular course. This means you will be able to invite users and groups from the course once it is published.
