Classes help you organise lessons, assign work and manage planning for different student groups.
How to Create a Class
We recommend creating a new class at the start of each school year so your content reflects your current teaching needs.
To create a class:
Click your current class name in the top navigation bar.
Select Create a Class.
Add a class name.
Choose the relevant curriculum, grades and subjects.
Add students if you want to collect their responses.
Finalise the class.
How to Duplicate a Class
Duplicating a class copies the units and lessons from your Planner into a new class. This is especially helpful for specialist teachers or teachers working across multiple groups.
To duplicate a class:
Open the class dropdown.
Select Manage Classes.
Find the class you want to copy.
Click the three dots next to the class.
Select Duplicate.
How to Share a Class
Sharing a class gives another Inquisitive teacher access to the same class, Planner and annotations.
To share a class:
Open the class dropdown.
Select Manage Classes.
Find the class you want to share.
Click the three dots next to the class.
Select Share Class.
Enter the teacher’s email address.
Click Invite to Class.
Once the teacher accepts the invitation, they’ll be able to access the shared class. You’ll also see multiple user icons next to the class name, showing that the class is shared.
