๐ Note: this article explains what a Hall of Fame page is, who can access Hall of Fame pages and place onto their ranks, and how to navigate them.
What are Hall of Fame pages?
Hall of Fame pages identify and showcase the top 100 individuals and top 100 teams within each organisation on the platform, ranked by points.
Who can access an organisation's Hall of Fame page?
Every organisation on the platform has a Hall of Fame page. However, only users who are affiliated to an organisation can see and access its Hall of Fame. Users who are not affiliated to an organisation will not be able to access its Hall of Fame page.
Each user on the platform can only be affiliated to one organisation at a time. Therefore, users on the platform can only access one Hall of Fame page at a time. If a user breaks their affiliation with an organisation, they will lose access to that organisation's Hall of Fame page. Similarly, once a user affiliates with an organisation, they will gain access to that organisation's Hall of Fame page.
Users who are not affiliated to any organisation on the platform will not have access to any Hall of Fame page.
Who can show up in the ranks of an organisation's Hall of Fame?
Any participating individual or team to an organisation can show up in its Hall of Fame, regardless of affiliation status. In other words, both affiliated and non-affiliated users to an organisation can show up in its Hall of Fame - all that is required to show up in the ranks of an organisation's Hall of Fame is participation in at least one individual or team-based competition hosted by that organisation.
๐ Definitions of Participating Individuals and Teams
Participating Individual: An individual who has participated in a competition is considered a participating individual to the competition's hosting organisation.
Participating Team: A team that has participated in a competition is considered a participating team to the competition's hosting organisation.
Example for Clarification
As an example, consider a team named 'Pixel Pirates' on the platform. If 'Pixel Pirates' has participated in a competition hosted by the organisation 'Red', then 'Pixel Pirates' is recognised as a participating team to 'Red'. However, if 'Pixel Pirates' has not participated in competitions hosted by another organisation, say 'Blue', then they are not considered a participating team for 'Blue'.
๐ก Remember:
All affiliated users to an organisation have access that organisation's Hall of Fame, regardless of whether they have participated in any of the organisation's competitions.
Both non-affiliated and affiliated users to an organisation can show up in the ranks of its Hall of Fame if they have participated in at least one of the organisation's competitions.
How are points counted toward Hall of Fame rankings?
Only points scored within the context of an organisation (i.e. via the organisation's events) will count toward its Hall of Fame rankings. Any points scored in events outside of an organisation will not count toward its Hall of Fame rankings.
For example, consider a participant named 'Tom', who has scored 10,000 points in competitions across the platform. If 'Tom' had scored 3,000 of his total platform-wide points in events by organisation 'Yellow', then in the context of organisation 'Yellow', he has scored 3,000 points. 'Tom''s placement and ranking in organisation 'Yellow''s Hall of Fame would be based on his achievement of 3,000 points. The other 7,000 points 'Tom' scored outside of the context of organisation 'Yellow' would not count toward his rankings in organisation 'Yellow''s Hall of Fame.
