📖 Note: This article provides detailed information for all Users on how to attempt a quiz within the platform.
Starting a Quiz
A quiz can be identified in a module by its Puzzle icon. When you click on a quiz, it will display the quiz landing page. This contains important information including the Quiz Description , whether Re-attempts are Allowed/Not Allowed and any Time limit .
Once you’re ready, click the Start Quiz button, as show below.
This will bring up a warning message asking if you’re sure you’re ready to start the quiz. Hit Start Quiz [1] to start the quiz, or Cancel [2] to go back to the quiz landing page.
Attempting a Quiz
Once you’ve started the quiz, you’ll be able to see all the quiz questions. For each question you’ll be able to see how many points (dependent on quiz type) are allocated to it and how much Time Remaining [1] you have to complete the quiz.
There are four different types of quiz questions. These are:
Single choice (one answer) : For single choice questions, there is only one correct answer. You can select an answer by clicking the Circle next to the option, as shown below. If you’d like to select a different answer instead, you can click another option and this will deselect your previous answer.
Multiple choice (more than one answer) :For multiple choice questions, there can be one or more correct answers. You can select an option by clicking the Box next to the option, as shown below. To select another answer, simply click another box. You can deselect an option by clicking the box next to it again.
Ordering : For ordering questions, you’ll need to place the options in the correct order from top to bottom. To move an option, simply hold the Dots next to the option and drag it up or down, as shown below.
Free text : For free text questions, you’ll need to write an answer in the Text Box, as shown below.
Make sure you read each question and its instructions carefully.
You can submit your answers by clicking click the Submit[2] button, as shown below. If there are no re-attempts for the quiz allowed, make sure you check your quiz answers carefully before submitting.
Viewing Quiz Results
If the quiz creator has allowed participants to view their results, you’ll be able to see a Results table on the quiz landing page. You can see questions attempted, correct answers and points scored.
Re-Attempting a Quiz
If re-attempts are allowed for the quiz, you’ll be able to click the Re-Attempt Quiz [1] button on the quiz landing page. You can re-attempt the quiz as many times as you like.
