Am I Eligible?

To be eligible, tourism businesses must meet several key eligibility criteria. These are shown below.

  • Your business must fall within at least one tourism category.

  • Your business must be located and/or operate within Australia.

  • Your business must directly cater to leisure tourists, rather than those travelling for business or non-leisure purposes or locals.

  • If you are a tour operator or accommodation provider, you must have a valid Australian Business Number (ABN) and be able to provide proof of current third-party liability insurance upon request. This is to ensure that your business is compliant with Australian regulations and can provide a safe and secure experience for visitors.

To join, your business must fall within one ore more of the following Categories:

  • Accommodation

  • Attractions

  • Events

  • Tours

  • Food & Drink

  • Transport

  • General Services

  • Hire

  • Information Services

  • Journeys

  • Destination Information


Frequently Asked Questions

Who cannot join ATDW?

While we welcome a broad range of operators and service providers, there are some important exclusions, including:

  • Websites or virtual businesses

  • Travel insurance providers

  • Human Resource (HR) providers

  • Travel agents, wholesalers and inbound tour operators
